Quality Assurance

Truflo Marine are constantly aware of the challenging environment faced by naval vessels and their crews, which is why quality is so important to us.

Technical SupportAll Truflo Marine valves and equipment from third party suppliers are fully inspected and the accompanying documentation packs are reviewed to ensure compliance with customer specification. Traceability is vital to ensure product integrity. Every item produced in house or purchased as a finished component is traceable through its unique batch number. All records are stored digitally and can be retrieved and supplied at the customer’s request.

‘Lloyds Register of Shipping’ audits our Quality Management System every six months to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2000. Our local Defence Quality Assurance Field Force Surveyor visits regularly to review, witness and inspect MOD and certain other foreign navy orders.

Product Validation & Testing

As new valve requirements are defined and processes improved, we develop and implement test and validation programmes with our customers to ensure that the products are fully fit for purpose. Our in-house test facilities comprise:

  • Flow testing: Gas to 350 bar
  • Cryogenic testing to -196°C
  • Fire testing
  • Vacuum testing
  • Dye penetrant testing
  • NDT

Truflo Marine also works closely with third party test houses, including QinetiQ, BHR, Cape, and NEL.
